Tigo TS4 Platform¶
EXPANDING
The TS4 is Tigo's modular hardware platform. Different TS4 variants provide different functionality using the same physical housing and wiring.
TS4 Variants¶

Field note: Always confirm which TS4 variant is installed. They look identical physically but have different capabilities. Check the label on the unit.
Physical Overview¶
- Clips to module rail, underneath or alongside the panel
- Two MC4-compatible connectors (in and out, DC pass-through)
- Small form factor — similar size to SolarEdge optimizer
- No LED indicator visible in field (diagnostic via gateway/app)
TAP Gateway¶
The Tigo Access Point (TAP) or Cloud Connect gateway: - Communicates with TS4 units via proprietary RF - Connects to Tigo Cloud via Ethernet or Wi-Fi - Required for monitoring; rapid shutdown may work without it (local transmitter)
