APsystems¶
EXPANDING
APsystems produces dual-module microinverters — one unit converts DC from two panels simultaneously. This reduces hardware count while maintaining per-panel (or per-pair) monitoring.

ECU Gateway¶
The Energy Communication Unit (ECU) is APsystems' gateway: - Collects production data from microinverters via ZigBee radio or PLC - Uploads to APsystems cloud (ema.APsystems.com) - Required for monitoring
Field note: APsystems uses ZigBee communication between ECU and microinverters — different from Enphase's PLC approach. Signal range matters; ECU placement affects which units it can see.
