Level 4 Senior Field Specialist

Role Overview

The Senior Field Specialist is the technical anchor of Wadadli Solar's field operations. They handle the most complex sites, lead multi-technician teams, drive documentation quality across the company, and are trusted to make high-stakes technical decisions independently.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead complex commercial and multi-system O&M operations
  • Technical escalation point for junior technicians
  • Quality control for inspection reports and case studies
  • Drone inspection lead (Part 107 required)
  • Portal content contribution — adding case studies, updating SOPs
  • Workforce development — actively mentoring Level 1–3 technicians
  • Client relationship management for key accounts

Level 4 Competencies

Technical Mastery

  • Expert-level knowledge of SolarEdge, SMA, Enphase, APsystems, Tigo, and BESS
  • Commercial string system design awareness — can interpret single-line diagrams
  • Advanced thermal analysis — pattern recognition, failure mode identification
  • BESS commissioning awareness — can assist with EG4 and similar systems
  • Can diagnose a system without prior site knowledge

Operational Leadership

  • Leads teams of 2–4 technicians on commercial sites
  • Safety culture ownership — enforces standards, does not tolerate shortcuts
  • Makes correct go/no-go decisions under time pressure and client pressure
  • Manages site efficiently — maximizes productivity without cutting safety

Drone Operations

  • FAA Part 107 certified (active)
  • Thermal drone inspection capability
  • Delivers aerial inspection packages independently

Knowledge Contribution

  • Contributes minimum 4 case studies per year to the portal
  • Reviews and improves SOPs based on field experience
  • Identifies gaps in portal content and flags for addition

Reading Requirement

Every section of this portal, maintained current. Senior technicians are expected to contribute to it, not just read it.

Certifications Expected at Level 4

  • OSHA 30 (current)
  • NABCEP PV Installation Professional or O&M Professional
  • FAA Part 107 (active, current recurrency)
  • First Aid / CPR / AED (current)
  • Any relevant manufacturer certifications (SolarEdge installer, EG4, etc.)
