EG4 6000XP — Field Overview

The 6000XP is a common EG4 residential install:

  • 6,000W continuous output
  • Accepts solar (MPPT built-in), battery, and grid simultaneously
  • Wi-Fi monitoring via EG4 app
  • BMS communication: CAN bus or RS485 to EG4 battery
  • Display panel shows: SOC, grid status, solar production, loads, battery

EG4 Battery — Key Parameters (LFP)

Parameter Value
Nominal voltage 51.2V (48V system)
Capacity options 100Ah (5.12 kWh), 200Ah (10.24 kWh)
Max charge current 100A
Max discharge current 100A
Operating temp 0–55°C (charge restricted below 5°C)
Chemistry LiFePO4 (LFP)

EG4 Configuration Notes

  • Inverter must be configured for correct battery type (LFP, not lead-acid)
  • BMS communication cable must be connected between inverter and first battery
  • Multiple batteries in parallel require correct bus bar configuration
  • Charge voltage cutoff: ~58.4V (do not exceed)
  • Low voltage cutoff: ~44V (do not go below)

Check Inverter Settings

Incorrect charge voltage settings on a non-EG4 inverter connected to EG4 batteries can cause overcharge or communication failure. Always verify inverter settings match the battery specification.

EG4 Monitoring

  • Local: inverter display panel
  • Remote: EG4 app (iOS/Android) via Wi-Fi
  • Data includes: SOC, voltage, current, temperature, cycle count
