Technician Pathways¶
| Role | Starting Point | Key Sections |
|---|---|---|
| New Apprentice | Level 1 — Apprentice | Field Operations → SolarEdge Basics |
| Junior Technician | Level 2 — Junior Tech | SolarEdge → SMA → Troubleshooting |
| O&M Technician | Level 3 — O&M Tech | All Systems → Case Studies → BESS |
| Senior Specialist | Level 4 — Senior | Advanced Systems → Drone → Documentation |
| Youth / Student | Youth & Community Track | Solar Basics → Electricity → Career Paths |
Quick Reference¶
Stop work immediately if you encounter:
- Live electrical hazard outside expected scope
- Roof structural concern
- Thermal runaway signs (heat, swelling, smell)
- Any injury or near-miss
Call: Lead Technician → Operations → Emergency services if needed.
Document everything. Do not restart work without clearance.
- Review site documentation and prior inspection notes
- Confirm PPE is complete and serviceable
- Verify communication — phone charged, lead tech notified
- Check weather — no work in active rain or lightning
- Review site-specific access notes and client contact
If it isn't documented, it didn't happen.
Every site visit produces: - Site arrival photo (timestamp visible) - Condition photos before any work - Photos of all findings - Completed inspection notes - Client-facing summary if applicable
About This Portal¶
This portal is a living document. It grows through real Wadadli Solar field operations — actual findings, real system failures, documented repairs, and technician experience translated into reusable knowledge.
Operational philosophy: Build technicians who understand why, not just how. A technician who understands the system will improvise correctly in the field. A technician who only memorizes steps will fail when conditions change.
